Provisional Accessibility Statement

Introduction

At Grupo Alsa, we are committed to universal digital accessibility, working continuously to ensure that our digital assets are usable by everyone, regardless of ability, age, or personal circumstances.

Our Accessibility Statement is based on the harmonised European technical standard EN 301 549 in its latest version, which is the European digital accessibility standard approved by the European Commission. This standard defines the accessibility requirements for technological products and services.

The scope of this statement covers the digital web asset https://alsaferrol.es, excluding embedded content from third-party domains. However, Grupo Alsa and its external providers maintain an active commitment to improving the accessibility of third-party content included in its digital asset, with the goal of ensuring the most inclusive digital experience possible.

Our goal is to carry out continuous monitoring and remediation of potential digital accessibility barriers, in order to provide an inclusive and barrier-free experience for all users.

Beyond regulatory compliance, Grupo Alsa aspires to exceed legal requirements regarding digital accessibility. Our commitment is to achieve the highest accessibility standards, aiming to meet Level AAA criteria, continuously improve the usability of our digital products, and obtain certifications that endorse our excellence in accessibility.

To achieve this goal, we have implemented an integral digital accessibility service (S.I.A.), which deploys comprehensive corrective measures: specialised training for our teams, systems for evaluation and continuous improvement of accessibility, and proactive actions on both our websites and mobile applications, with the ultimate purpose of guaranteeing a truly universal and inclusive digital experience.

Adopted Criteria

Grupo Alsa follows standard EN 301 549 to ensure the digital accessibility of its digital assets. Some of the ongoing improvement actions to enhance content accessibility include:

  • (9.1.4.1) Additional visual cues such as underlines, icons, or explanatory text are being added to prevent colour from being the sole means of conveying information.

  • (9.1.4.3) Automated and manual tools are being used to verify that the contrast between text and background meets the minimum requirements needed to guarantee readability.

  • (9.1.4.4) Content is being tested to ensure it can be zoomed up to 200% using browser features without loss of functionality or truncation of information.

  • (9.1.4.11) The contrast of user interface components and graphical objects against adjacent colours is being reviewed to ensure they are clearly discernible.

  • (9.2.5.3) The accessible name of each control is being aligned with its visible label, benefiting users who navigate using voice control.

  • (9.3.1.1) The website's primary language is being verified in the code to ensure it is correctly defined, facilitating its reading by assistive technologies.

  • (9.4.1.2) Work is underway to improve the semantic accessibility of all custom components, ensuring that they properly convey their role, state, and value to assistive technologies.
